How it works ?
SMS NAYBERS groups people in their streets or you can create bigger groups by becoming a KMOC(Need permission). Once you are added to SMS NAYBERS you are linked to the people around you, So when you send a message to 33800 our system will find everyone around you and broadcast the SMS to all of them instantly.
Cost ? [FREE]
There are no costs for registering or using SMS NAYBERS system, the only cost that you will endure will be the SMS cost of R1.50 for the SMS you are sending to 33800. The SMS's that are sent are paid for by local companies that have sponsored your area, In turn we give the companies a small piece of advertising space at the bottom of the SMS you receive.

SMS NAYBERS is
SMS NAYBERS is a SMS communication System, Walkie-Talkie Type system
Send 1 (one) SMS from their cell phone, to the other members in their street (i.e. 20 members) and the message
will automatically and instantly go out to all 20 members at the cost of ONLY R1.50

Grouping
There are 2 different levels of grouping you to the people around you.
The first level of grouping is by your street. Our system will automatically group you and the members around you in
your street so you have access to broadcast SMS's to them.
The second Level of grouping is KMOC grouping, A KMOC will be the people who are most involved in the community
(eg leaders of a neighborhood watch).
By creating a KMOC we can link multiple streets together so that the KMOC can broadcast to all the people in
the selected streets at the same time ! Note that normal users who are grouped at street level can only
communicate with their own street, only a KMOC can communicate to mutiple streets.
As a KMOC you need to put a * at the beginning of the message you send to 33800. The * tells our system
that you want to broadcast your message ! If the * is not present in beginning of your message the SMS will
only be broadcast to the members in your street and NOT all the groups you are in charge of !
Key Member Of Community [KMOC]
We have created a KMOC function for large groups, basically a KMOC has the ability to connect multiple groups and broadcast
messages to all those groups at once. For instance there are 3 groups in your area that don't want to communicate with
each other but want important news and updates, A KMOC can be created to broadcast to all 3 groups while the normal members
in the groups will only be able to communicate within their own group.
When a KMOC sends a message our system will treat him as a normal member so he can just communicate with his original group
But if the KMOC needs a mass broadcast all they will need to do is put a * in the beginning
of the message and send the message to 33800.
E.G *There was a break in at 2AM
NOTICE Due to the massive number of people KMOCs broadcast to, SMS Naybers has to charge a reduced SMS rate for KMOC broadcasting. KMOC's will only be charged when sending out a KMOC message - A message that starts with *, Broadcasting SMS's at street level will not cost the KMOC anything other than the R1,50 SMS cost

will be confidential and kept private.
Your information is kept on our secure servers which are monitored 24/7 and regularly updated with the newest security
software available.

SMS NAYBERS has purchased the number 33800 which forwards the messages you send to it to our system.
Sponsoring SMS's
SMS Naybers needs companies or even individuals to sponsor SMS's for the community. We manage to make this service
free by having companies sponsor and advertise in area's of their choice.
When a company sponsors SMS's they will have a 30 - 50 character advert on the SMS's that goes out
to the area's they choose to sponsor, this is a great advertising opportunity since all the messages that
are sent will be read.
