Leader

SMS NAYBERS encourages your group of neighbours to have a Leader. The Leader will represent and be the voice for your group of neighbours. You can volunteer to be a leader on your subscription form.

Role of a Leader

The Leader is someone who shares the vision of SMS NAYBERS, for neighbours to get to know each other. They volunteer to facilitate in making our vision happen with their neighbours, by encouraging their group to communicate with one another and to get to know each other.

The Leader will be SMS NAYBERS point of contact for his/her particular group of neighbours in their street or complex.

The Leader gets special functions on www.streetbooks.co.za to assist with effective communication in organizing meetings or giving detailed information to their neighbours, using forums. (Click here to read more)

What SMS NAYBERS Encourages the Leader to Do

Organize a Get-Together
We encourage you to host a first get together with your group of neighbours. Ideas: Have a braai or organize to meet your neighbours out for dinner.
The purpose is for all your neighbours to meet each other again and to get to know each other. You now have the means of communicating with your neighbours via SMS or on www.streetbooks.co.za to organize this effectively. It is important you encourage your group to meet regularly.

Leader Guidelines for Your Get-Together

(It is not compulsory to use these guidelines.)

You can facilitate a process for your neighbours to get to know each other and to discuss certain issues with our guidelines. You can use our SMS NAYBERS Leader form, which you will fax back to SMS NAYBERS after your meeting.
